Tired of having Sisko replaced by sissy? Or getting a suggestion of Clinton for Klingon? It's easy to use the Star Trek Custom Dictionary in your applications that use a spell-checker. Download the startrek.txt file and follow the instructions in your applications' help files to add a custom dictionary.
An example:
For Word 97, copy the startrek.txt file to the Program Files/Common Files/Microsoft Shared/Proof folder. Rename the file startrek.dic. Open Word 97 and choose the TOOLS menu and OPTIONS... sub-menu. Choose the Spelling & Grammar tab. Click the DICTIONARIES... button. The startrek.dic file should be showing in the list of custom dictionaries. Check the box next to it and close the window. Your Star Trek dictionary will now be enabled in Word 97.
